Helping Students Write, Think, and Succeed
From writing intervention to college admissions essays, I offer personalized tutoring that helps students find their voice and grow in confidence. I also develop writing curriculum and provide instructional support for students in grades 5–10.
I bring more than eight years of classroom experience to every session. I serve as a Director of Academic Affairs, Language Arts and Literature teacher, and curriculum developer. I hold a master’s degree in education, am CalTPA certified, and was named the 2024–2025 Archdiocese of Los Angeles Teacher of the Year.

My Teaching Philosophy
My approach draws on perennialism: the belief that reading, writing, and thoughtful discussion help students develop lasting skills and ideas. I pair that foundation with instruction tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student is strengthening essential skills, building confidence, or ready for a greater challenge, each session is designed to help them grow as a reader, writer, and thinker.
Writing Instruction & Skill Building
I offer writing intervention and skill building in paragraph structure, essay organization, grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and voice—skills students use across every subject. Support includes essay planning, drafting, and revision, as well as college admissions essays. I also provide writing curriculum and instructional support for teachers.
Reading & Literature Instruction
Personalized instruction helps students become confident, thoughtful readers. Through targeted comprehension strategies and literary analysis, students learn to make connections, support their ideas with evidence, and think critically about what they read.
Curriculum Development & Instructional Consulting
I partner with teachers and schools to build writing programs that meet their students’ needs and support classroom instruction. This can include developing grade level writing units, creating lessons and rubrics, designing strategies for students who need extra support, and helping teachers plan how to teach writing across subjects. Together, we can turn learning goals into clear, practical resources teachers can use right away.
